@ Gamer - Thank you for your honesty and not actually typing out the words that you were actually thinking!
We have been discussing the power of authentic writing and you are being completely authentic with your post. However, I would like to see more details. For example:
1.) Why do you feel so strongly against dancing?
2.) Did you have a negative experience doing a dance routine in the past? Explain using details and descriptive words (appropriate words).
3.) If I give you the option of doing an alternative activity (which you haven't asked for), what would that activity be? I don't mind if you do your dance routine at home, record it, and show the class the video.
I totally understand that some students will have stage fright. I'm not sure if I told you, but when I was in Gr. 4, I had to give a speech in front of my entire school. Some of my friends jokingly laughed while I was speaking and I was absolutely mortified. I ran to the back of the stage and cried. Later, I ran back to class and hid in the cloak room. However, it made me a stronger person and I later competed in an international speech contest at the UN headquarters in New York!
As a 'TOASTMASTER' I'm sure you can relate! The more you practice, the better you will get!
Mrs. Zabel and I will be doing a dance routine as well! We will practice until we get it just right! I know you're laughing right now just thinking of us dancing. Rest assured, you will laugh even harder when you see us dance! LOL! You have to take risks to overcome your fears!
